Easy Dinner Fix: Hotdog Bun Garlic Bread

Picture this:
You are preparing a nice spaghetti dinner.
The noodles are in the boiling water, the sauce is heating up, the oven is preheating for the....
Yup....you've forgotten the garlic bread. And there's no time to run to the store to get some.
If your family is anything like mine, a spaghetti dinner just isn't complete without garlic bread. And there are times when it just won't do to have bread with some butter on it.
As you're reaching for that loaf of bread, you spy some left over buns from your hotdog feast last night.
And there goes the light bulb!
Hotdog Bun Garlic Bread
The other day, we had some friends over for football and I had quite a bit of buns left over. So, I decided to turn those bad boys into garlic bread. It's SUPER easy and honestly, you don't need anything special.....

Preheat your oven to 400.
Spray a little olive oil (or regular old cooking spray) on a cookie sheet.
Take out however many buns you will need for your family....I used 5. Split them and lay them on the pan, insides up.
In a bowl, mix some margarine (about 2 tablespoons or so) with some garlic powder, salt and pepper, parsley and basil and stir until it's blended.
Using a butter knife, spread the mix on the hotdog buns.
Put in oven for about 10 minutes or until desired crisp has been reached.

DONE! See, it's really that simple!
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
