Praise Be To The Lord Of The Flies

Welcome to a Fly on the Wall group post. Today 12 bloggers are inviting you to catch a glimpse of what you’d see if you were a fly on the wall in our homes. Come on in and buzz around my house.

Buzz around, see what you think, then click on the links at the end of this post for a peek into some other homes!

*A cursed bug has decided to make it's way through our house this week. It started with Girl Child, then it hit me. Now it is attacking both The Hubs and Lil Bit. So far, Boy Child hasn't gotten it, but we will see what happens.
I hate stomach bugs!

*Speaking of Boy Child, I mentioned last month that he started soccer this year. He had his first game on Saturday. I was so proud!! He did awesome and his team won 3-1!
It's a touchdown! Oh..wait..I mean GOAL!

*It's suppose to be Spring, right (more on that later). Naturally, when the warm weather hit (for all of 3 seconds..again, more on that later), we fired up the grill and did us a happy dance! This is what we had one day...
Oh yea....

And another day....
Mmmm....steak!
Yum, right?

*Kentucky made it to the final game of the NCAA championship (I hate basketball, so I don't know the proper name for this....). They lost. I live in Kentucky, so I had some fun with all my friends who were disappointed. This picture was shared and an argument started because the guy said I didn't make it (I totally did!)
Almost had it....

*We went to my niece's birthday party at a skating ring and I got a picture of my kids and her together. I compared it to a picture I took almost 4 years ago....
My how they grow!
My how they've grown!!

*So, the coolest thing happened. If you are a reader of this blog, you know that one of my friends, Marcia from the Menopausal Mother is someone who's life I love reading about. Her family is the coolest! Well, she went to a writing convention in Dayton, Oh and just happened to stop in the town just south of me here in Kentucky. The next morning, we met! She's the first person I've met from the blogging world. How cool is that?!

me (r) and Marcia from Menopausal Mother!

*Remember how, up there, I talked about the weather? Yea.....this can only be talked about using pictures.
Enjoy!
Yea, our forecast....

  1. I love this!! How crazy is it that it snowed two days after I left? I can't believe I missed it!! But meeting you was one of the highlights of my trip. I'll be back in 2016, so keep the coffee pot warm!

I loved the cousin pictures. Between all the all my siblings we have 16 kids total so it has been so nice take photos of them all and watch them grow together over the years.

  4. Oh, man...you guys have had a rough month of it. Hope Boy Child escapes it, at least.
There are so many fellow bloggers that I'd love to meet - that's incredible that you got together with MM.

  6. Hey, I was as stunned as anyone that the guy's tattoo was almost a reality. Poor thing.
Living in Michigan all those years makes me completely understand that forecast; Ugh.
I can't decide which dinner i'd show up for at your house. I love me some grilled food :)
    Stomach flu can suuuuck it!
Jealous you've met someone in the blogging world. Put a pot on..or some burgers on the grill, Twinnie. I'll be right over.

  7. I hope y'all feel better soon! It's terrible when everyone gets sick. The e-card pic is very accurate.

The changing of the seasons = Mother Nature is so old, she forgets what the weather supposed to be.

  8. The weather has been somewhat bipolar in our country as well. Last week short sleeves and playing outside, today 32°F. Gotta enjoy the BBQ moments while we've got them, right? Hope everybody at your house is healthy and happy again?
    Happy Easter, Sarah!
PS: so cool that you and Marcia met!

  9. Our weather, like everywhere else, has been up and down. Thankfully no snow but we've had over 9 inches of rain this week.
HOW cool that you met one of our FOTW moms!
