November Friday Funny

Today’s post is this month’s Funny Friday, a regular feature published on the last Friday of every month. Funny Friday is a collaborative project. Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

*side note* When I saw that this picture was the one for this month, it hit me like a punch to the gut. That's my Pi Guy. We lost him in April and it still hurts so, so bad. I didn't expect to see this picture and when I did, tears immediately sprang to my eyes. I miss you so much, Pi Guy.

Giving Thanks

Today is a day for giving thanks, something we should be doing every day, but if we are honest, we fall short all the time.

I have so much in my life to be thankful for. I'm moderately healthy, I have an amazing family,a job, a roof over our head, food. Life could be much more worse and I'm so grateful that it's not.

First and foremost, I'm thankful that I have three of the most amazing, outstanding children a woman could be blessed with. They truly are awesome kids. Each of them has their own personality that just absolutely amazes me. They are smart, healthy and so much more than I could ever deserve.

I'm incredibly blessed and thankful to have such an amazing husband. Putting up with me isn't easy, but he really does an awesome job at it. Living with someone with depression and an auto-immune disorder that just absolutely zaps you of energy can't be fun, but he really does a great job at helping me. He's a hard worker, an amazing father and truly my best friend.

I'm also beyond blessed to have a mother that would do anything in this world for me. From opening her home to my family of 5 to watching 3 kids on little sleep, having my mama near by is such a blessing, one I don't deserve. Thank you, mama bear, for everything.

My dad really helped us out this year. He was always there to fix my air, to bail us out if we needed help and to just be there for us. He may not believe it, but he is my knight in shining armor and I'm so grateful that I have my daddy around. He and my stepmom have no idea what a blessing they are.

Additionally, I'm so thankful for my mother-in-law. She, too, has been our saving grace and I only hope she knows what it means to us, to me. We wouldn't have made it without her help and support. Thank you so much!!

I'm thankful for my coworker Darci. She's a kind of crazy that matches my own and honestly, my job here would suck if she wasn't around. I'm thankful that I have a job that allows me to work on school work while I'm there and isn't extremely stressful.

I'm thankful for all of my awesome friends. You guys all rock.

Finally, I'm thankful to our savior for never giving up on me, for always nudging me toward Him. I wish I had a church here in Florida to attend, but none of them feel like my home church of Connect in London. I'm thankful that He led us to Connect, because our family there really did change our lives for the better.

Thank you to all that read my blog and follow along with my craziness. I know I slack off in my writing, but that is 100% on me.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
